<image:caption>Hi my name is Kartal and I have a bio I am an award-winning digital creator that has done a few things in life. I’m a graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Art, I’ve owned 3 successful businesses and now I’m a Creative Producer for a national branded content studio. It’s my dream job, I get to live my passion every day by connecting brands with audiences through my dynamic storytelling and advertising campaigns. Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to do some pretty dope work but honestly, I’m still winging it. I feel like if more people admitted to not knowing what they are doing, that we are all just winging it we’d all be a lot saner. I’ve gained a lot of skills that have come with a lot of experiences but with that, I intend to truly never know what I’m doing for as long as I live. I want to be a student and forever learning in this thing called life.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Russell G. Wilson graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2016, with a degree in Anthropology and South & Southeast Asian Studies. As a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, Russell completed his first research project in Cambodia looking at the factors of resiliency for male survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. While at Cal, Russell received the UC Berkeley Institute of International Studies Undergraduate Merit Scholarship and the Benjamin Gilman Scholarship to continue his research in Indonesia for the summer of 2016. Russell has worked with the National Human Trafficking Training and Assistance Center as a Human Trafficking Leadership Academy Fellow (HTLA). As an HTLA Fellow, Russell worked with a team of anti-trafficking experts from across disciplines to formalize the federal definition of what it means to be “Survivor-Informed” for federally funded programs. Russell has spent extensive time living and traveling throughout South and Southeast Asia. The time he has spent in this region of the world has given him a deep understanding of these cultures as well as knowledge of the systemic mechanisms of human trafficking in these countries. It is through these experiences Russell brings authenticity and passion to his research and his life. Ultimately Russell would like to bridge the gap of communication and collaboration between large-scale, top-down, multi-national NGO’s and the smaller, grass-roots, bottom-up, organizations by facilitating collaborative relationships.</image:caption>

<image:title>Anna Smith - Anna Smith</image:title>
<image:caption>Anna has spent the majority of her career collaborating with leading trauma experts to develop innovative approaches to care for boys and men who’ve exited the life of sex trafficking. As a result of co-founding nonprofit Restore One with her husband Chris and serving boys and men from years 2012-2019. While running Restore One, she was compelled by the lack of education pertaining to male sex trafficking and took the leap with Kartal and Chris to co-produced a full-length film entitled, Boys Documentary, an educational tool concerning the sexual trafficking of boys and men. As an anti-trafficking advocate, Anna enjoys using her knowledge and personal experience to strengthen and stand in freedom with others through speaking, writing, teaching, and consulting. Journeying through her own recovery process, she understands that healing is a painful yet beautiful path we must take to receive freedom. Anna believes healing is possible for everyone, no matter age, gender, or situation - it is possible. As an extension to her trauma-care work, she enjoys serving survivors of trauma and abuse through counseling and trauma-informed yoga through her business, Hope Bound Yoga and Counseling LLC. Anna’s education includes a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University and 500 RYT in yoga therapeutics from the Wilmington Yoga Center. Aside from her work, Anna loves to adventure outdoors with her husband, Chris, and play with her sweet daughter Asha.</image:caption>
